Our Story

Headshot 2026.JPG

While working at Heritage Park Museum in Terrace as the executive director and curator, I felt there was a need for stronger connection and collaboration among heritage organizations in Northern British Columbia. In 2024, I initiated the first Northern BC Museums Conference as a way to bring together museum and heritage professionals to share tools, stories, resources, and support one another.  Although small, the success of that gathering led to the creation of the Northern BC Museum Network, which now plans this conference annually and is developing as a platform for sharing news, resources, and knowledge across the North. The network's mission is to connect museums across Northern British Columbia to strengthen capacity, share knowledge, and build more resilient, relevant cultural institutions.
